B.R.A.T.s
What is a B.R.A.T.?

Well, in US military family terms, it is the children of veterans who are UPROOTED every time the military parent is transferred.

For our definition, B.R.A.T. means the following:
-
B. Brave
-
R. Resilient
-
A. Assertive
-
T. Triumphant
I created these terms because of the nature of US military children. We are Brave, every time we step into a new classroom; Resilient to be able to do it time and again without going off our rockers; Assertive in the fact that you have to assert yourself into your new surroundings or get pushed back into the deep corners of the environment; and, Triumphant in the successful futures we achieve.

There are so many successful B.R.A.T.s out there running top companies...entrepreneurs who have started and sold successful businesses only to create more, and more.

Here are a couple, to name a few:
-
Jeff Bezos - Founder of Amazon
-
Phil Knight - Co-founder of Nike
-
Robert Kiyosaki - Author
-
Fred Smith - Founder of FedEx
-
Marc Andreessen - VC
-
Travis Kalanick - Co-founder of Uber
-
Howard Shultz - Former CEO of Starbucks
-
Kathleen Erickson - Entrepreneur, Podcast Host, and Founder of UPROOTED by Uncle Sam
-
Tricia Harvey - Mural Design Artist and owner of Tricia Harvey Designs
-
Ann Anderson - Owner Anderson Insurance Agency (Frisco, TX)

What's Your Story?
As a Navy B.R.A.T., I was UPROOTED five times before my 12th birthday. The stories I can tell about moving across the U.S.A. would fit into a very large book...maybe even two. I decided to start a community group so that y'all could tell your stories, and share horrors, sorrows, and successes.
